Abbie Hausermann, LICSW, PMH-C

Welcome! I’m glad you have landed here. More than likely, you or someone you love is struggling and you know that it is time to reach out for help. You have come to the right place.

After becoming a mom in 2016 and struggling with postpartum anxiety and depression, I developed a burning desire to work with women throughout various points of the parenthood trajectory - infertility, pregnancy, adoption, postpartum mood concerns, and loss. I value the uniqueness of each client’s situation and feel strongly that therapy should be catered to meet each individual’s needs.

Over the past ten years of working in clinical settings, I have noted the profound impact that struggles with depression, anxiety and self-esteem can have on a person, their family and children. As a mom, wife and professional, I also know firsthand how challenging it can be to juggle many roles.

I’m passionate about combining the healing powers of therapy and nature. Mother Nature is one of the best therapists! In 2015, I began taking some of my interested clients outdoors and haven't looked back. These women grew their self confidence and self discovery, while being outdoors and physically active. That’s a 'win-win' in my book!

Starting in the fall of 2021 I will be a featured expert, facilitating a virtual monthly walk and talk session through MOMMY BRAiN, an online village for moms.

My post graduate trainings include:

  • Board Certified to treat perinatal mental health(2019)

  • Advanced graduate and certificate through the Postpartum Stress Center

  • Intensive trainings through 2020 Mom and Postpartum Support International

  • In progress: Birth and Reproductive Trauma Certificate Program

Why should this training and experience matter to you?

Through my in depth trainings and certificate programs, I have become very comfortable and knowledgeable in navigating the complexities of the perinatal and postpartum period. Seeing a therapist specifically trained in this area means that nothing is missed when tailoring care to your individual needs and the individual stressors you may face during this period.

Additionally, my professional training coupled with my personal experience with postpartum anxiety and depression gives me both personal and professional street cred!

Together, we will make sense of the unknown of motherhood and navigate the new normal.
